Our own Brand of Kitchen Disasters

One of Hubby's stocking stuffers this year was a crème brûlée torch, and it was only a matter of time before it was put to good (i.e. its actual intended) use. I'll admit it, hubbs has been using it almost every day to light candles and to put fires in the fireplace, but that's neither here nor there. 

Hubby found a recipe that looked promising, we mixed up a batch, and put them into the oven. 

Kind of.

I turn around and this is what I see...

Oops.

Yummy yummy custard... spilled everywhere.

Yeah. We called it a night after that.

Thankfully, we tried again the next night and it came out great. 

Yummy wife win.

(okay, so we didn't have any cream, so we used nonfat milk. BUT who's the wiser?)
